Learning Outline Survey - Kathryn writes, "In the Come, Follow Me youth curriculum, each month's topic has more suggested learning outlines than there are weeks available for teaching. We have been instructed to consult with the youth about which lessons would be most applicable to and beneficial for them. To facilitate this communication, I created  "survey" or "poll" for each month. Each youth fills it out, and then the leaders use that information to determine what and when to teach. I also included an option where the youth can indicate willingness to teach all or part of a lesson. I posted three links on my blog to the Google doc containing surveys for each of the three youth programs for the rest of the year. Anyone who feels their youth would benefit from using this communication tool is welcome to download it."

I substitute teach the youth in Sunday School. I used your site in January and found some excellent videos associated with several of the topics on the Godhead. I am filling in this week again and can't seem to find any videos referenced for the topic of "How the scriptures can help understand the Atonement." I found videos for the Atonement on your "Video" tab, but it seems like the last time I was here that there were specific videos referenced for each weeks lesson.

I have noticed that many teachers need more specific guidance than the church website has, especially with asking and coming up with good questions that promote discussions. It is hard! But, once it all "clicks" it can become easier. That is why I have spent that last 8 months studying and creating this website:

Teaching The Chosen is a website geared to helping LDS teachers with the youth Come Follow Me program learn how to better lead a discussion. We offer lots of different help and guidance, and encourage you to add your ideas, so we may all be leading one another to become a mentor.
Check it out to see exactly what it is all about, and share it with your friends! :)
